About Me....
This is a one woman show!  What can I say..I love to
create!

I have always loved "pretty rocks".  I did a book report when I was in
junior high and from then on, I was hooked on rocks!  I used to walk
around with a pocket knife so I could dig out the agates from the
streets!  Making jewelry is my "happy place" and when I am not
creating jewelry, I am playing guitar and "creating" music.  (or noise!)
And yes, by request, I will have a page for my music as well as other
bands, musicians and artists so we can all promote our "art".  Let me
know through my contact page if you would like to be included!
I
don't have a facebook or myspace page anymore.  Too much drama
and distractions for me.....I am perfectly content to be the introverted
flaky artist that I am.  :0)

A BIG part of the fun of creating and manufacturing my jewelry is
finding all the great stuff to create them with!  I shop at estate sales,
flea markets, online stores, wholesalers, eBay and have plenty of
other "interesting" sources from all around the globe.  If YOU have
any beads or old jewelry you would like to be rid of, please let me
know.  I am always in the market!

I have also spent many hours researching "pretty rocks" and their
properties, both geological and holistic, and I set up a page just for
that.  Though you must reach your own conclusions in regards to
their "healing" properties, the history in itself is interesting reading.
Go to my gemstone info page and read for yourself.  Why is
turquoise green/blue?    What makes blue topaz blue?

From as young as I can remember, crayons, paper and other art
supplies were never far away from my reach.  My mother was always
doing some sort of arts and crafts and I was always eager to help. I
did the same for my girls and they too were eager to help and
participate in all my little "art projects" and fun throughout the years.
Although I took breaks from jewelry making throughout my life, I
always came back to my love of "pretty rocks" and beading and have
been doing it ever since I returned home from the desert.  Art is and
has always been a major part of my life and although I don't have a
degree or any formal training, years of "practical applications"  in
design and retail has brought me to where I am at now.  Every year I
still download the color forecast and cross reference guides that all
the major retailers and designers use and I follow the seaonal
"trends".

I am thrilled that both my daughters and even my niece enjoy
creating as well and help me when they can with this never ending
"project" that is now getting out of hand....but in a good way!

GIRLS RULE!  ;0)
